This page is here as a reference for anyone who reads NaNoWriMo in my posts and isn’t sure what I’m talking about.
NaNoWriMo stands for National Novel Writing Month, which happens every November. Writers from all over the world take on the challenge of writing 50,000 words during the month of November. In addition, there are Camp NaNoWriMo events, which happen at other months of the year and allow you to set your own goal.
Here are the official websites, where you can find more information:
Personally I find NaNoWriMo very motivating. Aspects of it annoy me, but the word count graph and month-long goal help me to focus and deliver. I have “won” NaNoWriMo (“winning” means achieving your goal) each of the three years I’ve attempted it, and I also attempted and “won” Camp NaNo in July 2015. You can find more info on my personal NaNoWriMo experiences by searching my blog for NaNoWriMo, and you can visit my Writings page for info about current progress on my NaNoWriMo projects.
